Unfinished Projects

Eventually this will be the art on my bathroom wall. Matted and framed. The green will face the inside and the color will be in the corners, respectively. Things that make me happy, flowers. These were taken for the sole purpose of bathroom art, and I never took a fourth. Still waiting for the right flower and the right color to add. :)

Patriarch

Grandmother Inez and Uncle Din. The oldest in our family. Uncle Din passed away Friday. I am so thankful I got to see him at Family Reunion in July. He was a great person, and we will all miss him.

So, here is the story:

Our family comes from San Andres, Colombia. It is a little known, small Colombian island. This year for reunion, to keep with our island roots, we had a pirate theme night - full with pirate entertainers, costumes and homemade flags. It was a great time. In honor of Uncle Din - here are somme photos.

The entire family, Inez and Din front and center.

We're pirates, ARGH!

Anyway, my family has a rich history. I love them all. And we will all miss my Uncle, especially Grandmother Inez.

These were taken at the pool I managed over the summer. I took them on auto, as I was at work. They have the "aww" factor as one of my previous photo teachers would have said. I like them anyhow.
